Types of Diabetes

Common Symptoms of Diabetes
Diabetes symptoms vary in severity and frequency from person to person. Common signs and symptoms of early stage diabetes may include:
- Extreme hunger and thirst
- Unexpected weight loss
- Frequent urination
- Blurred vision
- Frequent skin, gum, bladder, or yeast infections
- Fatigue
- Dry, itchy skin
Common signs and symptoms of Type 2 diabetes may include:
- Insulin resistance
- High blood pressure
- Cholesterol problems
- Darkening skin around the neck or in the armpits
- Yeast infections
- Absent or skipped menstrual periods in teen girls or women
When Type 2 diabetes gets worse, it can cause damage to the eyes, nerves, blood vessel, and kidneys. It is best if the symptoms above are checked early on to ensure it is not diabetes.
